HPYD6 - The DesigN SESSIONS 

THE VOLVO YACHT RACE IS RETURNING TO AUCKLAND AND HPYD6 HAS A SPECIAL FORMAT FOR 2018

The Volvo Ocean race Auckland stopover is coming to Auckland in March 2018.

The HPYD committee has made the decision not to run a full technical HPYD6 conference in 2018. There will be no publication of papers and no formal conference presentations. Instead, there will be a focus on providing a range of exciting, publicly accessible presentations and keynote addresses delivered by some of the top designers and engineers involved in the America’s Cup and Volvo Ocean Race.

Provisional schedule for the Sunday 11th March Design Sessions.

13:00 – 15:00 Session 1 (5 speakers)

15:00 – 15:30 Afternoon tea

15:30 - 17:30 Session 2 (5 speakers)

17:30 – 18:30 Sponsor networking / introduction

18:30 – 19:00 Public Session (Nic Bice)

Planning for HPYD7 has already begun. It will coincide with the America’s Cup in Auckland in 2021, and will return to a more traditional format with a full complement of papers and speakers.
